​Hello! I am a freelance illustrator-author currently based in North Carolina. I primarily work using paint, printmaking and collage- often combining them in my work. Shapes, texture and nature inspire me. I value imagination and creativity in my work and in the world around me. I love building a narrative from the first sketchy nuggets of an idea that travel out of my head and into my sketchbook. I also enjoy creating unique color palettes to help tell stories. I value the excitement and uniqueness of a "happy accident" coupled with strong ideas- something I strive for with all of my work.

In 2019 I completed my Masters in Children's Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art in England. I hold a BA in English and a BA in Journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
